PLAYING WITH PUPPETS ~ WEEK ONE

One hot summer day, some hula dancers danced their way into the little theatre and onto a stage.

The director and costume designer choreographed the show, but soon decided that some extras were necessary.

A glamorous movie star, a wild and crazy guy, a fierce dragon, and others who dressed for the occasion were put to work on the show.

It was a total success and the show received a standing ovation, not to mention a Tony award.

The second act featured Mr. Walrus, Miss Mousie, and Penelope Peacock.

But of course, the show would not be complete without the supporting cast which included Honey Bear,

The Fancy Lady, Dr. Big Nose, and Penelope's peacock friend.

On stage left was another glam gal with her co-star.

And behind the scenes the costume designers and voice over actors were rehearsing.

{Dr. Big Nose.}

{The Director with Wild and Crazy Guy.}

{Some of the Hula Girls.}

{Honey Bear.}

All put on an awesome act.

Bravo!

STAR STRUCK!

A little blue bird tweeted...

that there was a Wacky Walrus and his girlfriend,

Miss Mouse who wanted to make some new friends.

They found a treasure in the garden...

...and realized that it was a magical theatre!

A garden of gilded flowers, and amethyst and emerald beaded topiary trees, silk curtains, a crowned bluebird, sparkly stars floating above...

and a demure curtain girl set the stage for a puppet party!

Wacky Walrus and Miss Mouse jumped in.

And with a few supplies...

and a clever wooden spoon family,

made new friends!

Soon a Perfect Prince met his Dazzling Darling.

Then the Camper Kids' imaginations went wild and they created menagerie of critters - a Guss inspired pup, some cheetahs, and a pony.

Girlfriends.

More friends and some bunnies hopping around.

Puppet Arts Day during week one of Summer Arts Camp was so much fun.

Everyone was a STAR!
